Our move to a new place has been completed and one of the best things (among many wonderful attributes) about it is my new sewing space. There is a spare bedroom that will be wonderful when we have overnight guests, but probably 90 percent of the time it’ll be used as my sewing room. It’s great that my sewing things won’t clutter our main living space. This is what it looks like:
The bed makes a great cutting surface once I protect it with my cutting mats.
My sewing machine and serger have a permanent home on my little work table.
The closet provides me with plenty of storage, even though I share it with my husband’s comic book collection.
The cedar chest made by my step-grandfather is perfect for storing my fabric, sewing books and small tools. And it smells wonderful too!
